چکیده

The state-dependent Riccati equation (SDRE) approach for stabilization of nonlinear affine systems was recently reported to be effective in many practical applications; however, there is no guideline on the construction of state-dependent coefficient (SDC) matrix when the SDRE solvability condition is violated, which may result in the SDRE scheme being terminated. In this study, we present several easy checking conditions so that the SDRE scheme can be successfully implemented. Additionally, when the presented checking conditions are satisfied, the sets of all feasible SDC matrices and their structures are explicitly depicted for the planar system. © 2013 Elsevier Ltd. Global Stabilization of Attitude Dynamics: SDRE-based Control Laws

The State-Dependant Riccati Equation method has been frequently used to design suboptimal controllers applied to nonlinear dynamic systems. Different methods for local stability analysis of SDRE controlled systems of order greater than two such as the attitude dynamics of a general rigid body have been extended in literature; however, it is still difficult to show global stability properties of...

On the Recoverability of Nonlinear State Feedback Laws by Extended Linearization Control Techniques

Extended linearization is the process of factoring a nonlinear system into a linear-like structure x = A(x)x + B(x)u which contains state-dependent coefficient (SDC) matrices. An extended linearization control technique is any technique which (a) treats the SDC matrices A(z) and B(x ) as being constant and (b) uses a linear control synthesis method on the linear-like structure to produce a clos...

Automatic Landing of Small Helicopters on 4 DOF Moving Platforms

In this research, an automatic control system is designed for landing of a small helicopter on a 4 DOF moving platform. The platform has three translational and one directional degree of freedom. The controller design approach is based on development of helicopter nonlinear dynamic model into the SDC (State Dependent Coefficient) form and real time solving of state dependent Riccati equation (S...

Integrated Fault-detection and Control of DC Microgrids Using SDRE Observer-controller

In this paper, using the state-dependent Riccati equation (SDRE) technique, a suboptimal fault-tolerant control scheme is designed for a DC microgrid in the islanded mode. The objectives are the voltages control of the photo-voltaic cell, the battery, the capacitor bank, and the DC bus as well as on time fault detection. In the design procedure of the SDRE observer-controller, a nonlinear mathe...

Nonlinear feedback controllers and compensators: a state-dependent Riccati equation approach

State-dependent Riccati equation (SDRE) techniques are rapidly emerging as general design and synthesis methods of nonlinear feedback controllers and estimators for a broad class of nonlinear regulator problems. In essence, the SDRE approach involves mimicking standard linear quadratic regulator (LQR) formulation for linear systems. In particular, the technique consists of using direct paramete...
